Stockholm continued

We have also checked out the archipelago by ferry ( Thousands of Islands which make up the Stockholm region) . Island hopping is a very popular past time for Swedes in summer . I became quite alarmed at how many people were squashed on the boat at every stop. A seat shortage meant some of our tour group had to sit on the life jacket storage box ( yes Our tour leader should have booked ahead). I was getting very stressed as to who I would have to push out of the way in an emergency but no one else seemed too worried judging from the amount of beer being consumed on board for morning tea. Our final destination was probably similar to Lorne minus the designer shops and cars but not the expensive beers.

We did manage to cycle away from a few people but I really think you would have to go sailing or kayaking to get away from it all.

Swimming  could also be an option for escaping the crowds as the water is freezing . You would have to be mad to get in ...

The last morning in Stockholm is travelling day as Harley says so he has us all up and out of bed before we realise that nothing is opened yet. We head off to the Nobel prize museum and play our own game of is there a gender bias in the award ( hell yeah). Tour leader H says there is a good reason for this to a deathly silence .. We leave the museum without actually finding out why Mr Nobel left so much money for the prizes . Tour leader " H " gave us his own version of why and we ( ie the rest of your group ) realised we had missed a whole significant part of the museum. Oh well off to the the shops  ( although Amy and Bridie did sneak back in to have a final look as the museum was fascinating ( even if  it favour guys).

I wanted to moved on from Mr Nobel as it was the last chance to find my new favourite swedish designer shop. When we finally found the shop, tour leader H offered to patiently stand point guard out side . Eventually  he wonders why I haven't emerged and sends in Amy to find me. When she also fails to emerge after half hour he heads on in with his best Shopping weapon  - gold MasterCard and we are all happy - Sweden done and dusted.
